Things to Do in Los Angeles: Guillermo del Toro Exhibit at LACMA

Guillermo del Toro is one of the most creative filmmakers of the era, and his new exhibit at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) is a macabre whirlwind of fantasy, horror, and science fiction. Known for movies like Pan's Labyrinth, Crimson Peak, Pacific Rim, and Hellboy, del Toro brings it all together in the exhibit: At Home with Monsters. Step inside the artist's imagination and explore more than 500 pieces of artwork and ephemera, including paintings, drawings, maquettes, artifacts, books, sculptures, costumes, photography, and concept film art. Featuring items collected from the filmmaker's home base known as Bleak House, the exhibit is truly a unique exposition of the creative process.

At Home with Monsters runs now through November 27, and admission is included with museum tickets (cost: $25). LACMA is located at 8435 Beverley Boulevard, just 1.6 miles from our unique luxury hotel.
