The annual Hollywood Christmas Parade returns to Los Angeles, closing out November and welcoming the festivities of the season. The Parade commences on Hollywood Boulevard at Orange Drive near the Chinese Theater. Celebrity sightings will be happening all over the parade route, and include co-hosts actor Erik Estrada and travel expert Laurie McKenzie. TV personality Montel Williams and actor Dean Cain will be guest hosting.
The parade will air on the Hallmark Channel and the local L.A. CW affiliate a few times in December, but why not be part of the fun live and in person? You'll get to see floats, marching bands, and Santa Claus himself. Characters from Knott's Berry Farm will wave hello, joined by storybook cutie Archibald Mouse. Legendary musician, singer and songwriter Stevie Wonder will be Grand Marshal. Above all the excitement and glamour, the Hollywood Christmas Parade benefits the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program, whose mission is to provide holiday gifts for less fortunate children.
Free curbside viewing is available along most of the parade route. Want to guarantee you get a spot? Purchase grandstand seats in advance, and don't worry about having to stand or miss any of the action. With a ticket, you'll also be able to watch the Pre-parade Concert. Performers include Grand Marshal Stevie Wonder, Taylor Dayne and Jesse McCartney. Group rates are available, and seats will be all along Hollywood Boulevard. Adult admission prices are between $25 and $85, and children's tickets start at $12.50. Tickets can be purchased on Ticketmaster's website, www.Ticketmaster.com/HCP.
