Beginning the Saturday after Thanksgiving (11/29/14) through New Year's Eve (closing at midnight), you can lace up your ice skating boots and glide out onto the ice, which boasts a beautiful Christmas tree. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for children under the age of 5, seniors and military. That price includes the skate rental fee.

On Dec. 31, from 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., get ready to say goodbye to 2014 and hello to 2015. This free event held between the Music Center and City Hall, includes music and dancing. A cool effect will be the 3D video mapping located on two sides of City Hall. Ring in the New Year with Angelenos and visitors alike for the second year in a row. Ride the Metro Red Line to Civic Center Station.

This 21 and older event promises to be off the hook. Revelers will enjoy a multitude of live bands, drinks, food and fireworks. There are two ticket options - the $99 Cabin Class and the $199 VIP First Class. The first gets you access to the Cabin Class decks, bars and salons. The VIP ticket includes admission to the VIP deck, and its bars and salons. The party takes place from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
