Walt Disney Concert Hall

Walt Disney Concert Hall One of the most breathtaking sites to behold in the Los Angeles area, the Walt Disney Concert Hall is not just for looks; designed by architect Frank Gehry, and home to the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the concert hall was created to be one of the most dramatic acoustic halls in the world. You’ll hear music unlike anywhere else thanks to the structurally sound design that was created to deliver unparalleled listening experiences, a feat that has now honored the Walt Disney Concert Hall as an architectural landmark. It also doesn’t hurt that some of the world’s most influential artists have pined to perform within this structure that was constructed in 1999.

The stainless steel exterior might instill a sense of complexity entirely unique to the area, one that is sufficiently complemented by the Los Angeles Philharmonic and its musical director Gustavo Dudamel. The 2013/ 2014 season is full of extraordinary performances, including the September performance that kick starts LA Philharmonic’s year-long 10th Anniversary Celebration. Featuring a performance by Yo-Yo Ma, this celebration kicks off another spectacular season at the country’s leading concert hall. Throughout the year, the 10th Anniversary Celebration will honor renowned musicians and their work during concerts of Bartok, Beethoven, Bach and more. Featuring celebrated and renowned musicians joining the already stellar LA Philharmonic ranks, any of the 10th Anniversary Celebration shows are going to be brilliant. Don’t underestimate what else the Walt Disney Concert Hall is featuring this season. From Los Angeles Master Chorale, Chamber Music Society and Rita Wilson & Friends, there is always a ton to fill your calendar.
