54th Annual Los Angeles County Holiday Celebration

Los Angeles Holiday Celebration Los Angeles holiday traditions might not involve sleigh rides in the snow, but Southern California residents have enjoyed their own celebration for 54 years – the Annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration. A holiday musical festival unlike any other, this year’s holiday festivities are full of interactive fun for the whole family – with live performances from more than 20 music ensembles, choirs and dance companies from throughout Los Angeles. In the spirit of holiday giving, the entire celebration hosted at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion is free – even parking! The three-hour holiday show includes performances from Aditya Prakash Ensemble, the Gipsy Allstars (sons of Gipsy Kings), Grammy Award winning Mariachi Divas de Cindy Shea, dancing from Ate9 Dance Company, a traditional Korean performance from Jung Im Lee Korean Dance Academy, and performances from Artemusica, the Colburn Children’s Choir and Young Men’s Chorus, the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, and Immaculate Heart of Mary Children’s Choir.

The live event begins on Tuesday, December 24 at 3pm with doors opening at 2:30pm. If you can’t make it to the live performance – don’t worry! The Los Angeles community isn’t serving up just one performance, but five - all broadcast on KCET-TV. The live show will be repeated on Christmas Eve from 8-11pm, and again on Christmas at noon, 3pm and 9pm. Residents can even stream the live show at www.kcet.org. Produced by the Los Angeles County Arts Commission and sponsored by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, this is truly a spectacular event that celebrates the kindness, spirit and wonderful performing arts of Los Angeles County. The entire family will love the celebration!
