Perched high atop a hill, The J. Paul Getty Museum at the Getty Center features some of the most breathtaking panoramic views of Los Angeles around. Not only that, but the collection of pre-20th-century European paintings, drawings, sculptures, and illuminated manuscripts, as well as a wide array of early American and European photographs, is unrivaled. While the exhibits are extremely impressive, the architecture of the sprawling estate itself is equally magnificent, full of fountains and an ever-changing 134,000-square-foot Central Garden that inspires thousands of visitors daily.
