Rose Bowl ParadeOne family tradition that gets passed on generation to generation is cuddling up after a celebratory New Year’s Eve to watch or attend the annual Rose Bowl Parade. This year will be no different for many families across the nation when Los Angeles kicks off 2014 with the 125th Rose Parade presented by Honda. And who better to lead the parade than the Hall of Fame broadcaster and “voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers,” Vin Scully, who has been honored as the Grand Marshal for the 2014 Tournament of Roses. It's not just Scully’s appearance that’ll make the 125th Rose Bowl Parade an unprecedented affair - most recently the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association named the 96th Rose Queen and Royal Court - announcing Ana Marie Acosta as the 2014 Rose Queen.
While few can complain about watching the parade from the comfort of their own homes - as it’s broadcast live by several national television station providers - those with enough gumption to grab a spot alongside the parade route will be in or a real treat. The two-hour parade is packed with colorful floats, marching bands, equestrians and more - and for just over five miles the parade excites and entices everyone into the holiday spirit. Beginning at Green Street and Orange Grove Boulevard in Pasadena, the Rose Parade is a one-of-a-kind parade that the entire family will enjoy.
