One of the highlight concerts is the Four Fabs, a tribute concert to The Beatles on July 24. The group features two of the original members of Beatlemania, and the concert will be hosted by Ed Sullivan impersonator Michael Sherman.
Sultry nights make for great jazz, and the Joyce Marie Quartet bring their sensual combination of tropical Bossa Nova from Brazil and sexy Samba tunes, as well as classics from the American songbook, on July 31.
August 7 switches back to rock, when Dakota sends you on a trip down memory lane with classic rock hits from the ‘60s and ‘70s.
The final concert goes out with a bang as the Westside Jazz Ensemble blasts out rousing tunes from the Big Band and Swing era. Benny Goodman, Glen Miller, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Artie Shaw and Count Basie will all be sure to get your feet moving and toes tapping.
The concerts are a great way to enjoy a picnic dinner. Bring one of your own, or grab some takeout from one of the many local restaurants or markets nearby. A limited number of tables and chairs are available on a first-come basis, so be sure to get there early if you want one.
